VICTORIA LEAGUE GIRLS’ COMMITTEE FOR CHARITABLE FUND The Victoria League Girls’ Committee held a most enjoyable flag bridge party in tho league rooms recently, to gather in funds to buy dolls for Christmas presents for children living in the • baekblocks. There were 2-3 tables. Among those present were:—Miss Mowbray (president of the league), Mrs. L. S. Rickerby, Mrs. A. E. Devore, Mrs. Furley, Mrs. Ewen, Mrs. Wilde Brown, Misses Aicken, Cerutty, Stevenson, Bell, Vinson, Harrison, Drummond, Miller, Langsford, Thomson (2), Goosman, Nairn, McFarland, Waterhouse, McConnell, Teape, Knott, McLachlin, Coleman, Devore, Rendell, Adlington, Butler, Tapper, Cox, Abbott, Rainger, Walkley, de Renzy, W. Kent, Linasay, Kenderdine, McKelvie, Stubbs, Adkin, McCulloch, Dr. Sturtevant, Fox, White and Bannantyne.

During the evening Miss Mowbray spoke of the daffodil At Home to be held in the league rooms early in September to raise funds for the league.
