How They Ran Dundas Boy (£1,959), King Pointer 1 £1.529', and Terence Dillon (£1,489 jos) were the best backed, Padlock carry in r £915. King Pointer, Glidejway, and Quality lost ground at the start, and Native Prince was slow to nrnve. Dundas Boy got a poor run. and occupied a bad position until half a mile from home, where he looked to have a royal chance, however, until Padlock left the bunch, and with a K»nsational run on the outside landed dongside Dundas Boy, with Bogan Park still going strong on the rails. As fhe straight was reached, neither of the other pair could live with Padlock jn the run home, and he won hand?omely by a length from Bogan Park, with Dundas Boy three lengths* away third.
