RESIDENCE DESTROYED fFrom Our Own Correspondent) KAITAIA, Today. Thought to have started in a chimney, fire completely destroyed a fourjvtimed wooden residence in Empire Street last evening. Only one article of furniture was salvaged. The building was owned by Mr. T. S. Hickey. Opunake, and occupied by Mr. Whitefield. The building wus insured for £315 in the State Office, and £250 in the South British Office, and the furniture was covered in the North British Office.
