One of the new totalisator tickets issued at Newmarket. England. on July 2 last, the first day the machine was in operation in the Old Country. Tickets are issued for a win or a place (as above). at 25, £1 and £lo. They differ from the tickets issued in this country, for the code word. as well as the number of the race and the horse backed, are perforated on the ticket instead of printed, as in New Zealand. The ticket illustrated above was forwarded to THE SUN by Mr. Colin W. Anderson, an Auckland sportsman who is at present on an extended holiday abroad.
