i OPENING ‘CEREMONY NEXT , MONTH } Adviv-o has been received from Mr. ‘ Alex Harris, ALP. for \Vaitemata, that. {he Hon. J. B. Donald, PostmasterGeneral. has promised to open the new post office at Northcote on Monday. ‘ September 9. The building is situated at the corner of Queen and Alma Streets. It. is 3:“ Sin square. and includes two rooms. storeroonx and lobby. Tho lobby is 6!: square ,and the space provided for the public is 17ft by 12ft. _ The mail room is 32ft by 19ft.. and the comfort of the sniff is provided for by an open fireplace. The building has taken three and 3half months to complete. the contractor being )Ir. J. B. Ferguson.
