Perry accomplished anew feat today, crossing the English Channel from Dover to Calais and back on a motor water-cycle. The time taken was 7 hours 25 minutes. This included 40 minutes in Calais Harbour for lunch. He was accom. panied by a motor-launch, and stopped twice on the outward journey for refreshments; but he came bachin a non-stop run. The machine is pro ‘vided with two canoe-shaped floats, 'l6ft long, and Mr. Perry stated that |he had no trouble whatever with it.
