ARCADIA, NFWTON

“THE BELLAMY TRIAL” The first talking picture to be presented on the new talkie equipment at the Arcadia Theatre, Newton, was “The Bellamy Trial.” and this drew a record crowd last evening. “The Bellamy Trial” is a real mys—tery thriller. The greater part of the action takes part in a courtroom during a trial for murder, and every word uttered by the Vvitnesses, iawyers and so on is closely reproduced.

The Arcadia’s first talkie programn Ll5O includes a number of particular nteresting talking and singing fez ures, the whole making up an entel ainment of undoubted interest.
