HEAVY RAINS IN N.S.W
BRIGHTER HOPES FOR GOOD WHEAT CROP SYDNEY, Sunday. Heavy rain has fallen over a large area of country in New South Wales, except in the north-west. Moderate falls in the wheat belt have raised hopes of good crops. ' The State meteorologist forecasts further rain, except in the far northwest. where the condition of scattered settlers is pitiable. The rainfall has been much below their needs for the past 10 years and almost no rain has fallen for many months.
