Visiting Hockey Players Attend Cheery welcomes greeted the members of the New Zealand and Australian hockey teams as they entered the Click Clack Cabaret on Saturday evening, a large number of the players being special guests. Clyde Howley’s Internationals supplied a merry programme of music, which infected the dancers with equal gaiety, and there were all kinds of quaint favours and coloured streamers and balloons to add to the colour of the proceedings. Fancy dances by Aliss Gwen AlcNaughton’s pupils made an acceptable break during the evening. Airs. Owen Rainger chose a gown of flame charmeuse. Airs. Walsh wore black sntin faille and chiffon, with gracefully dipping hemline. Airs. Carnachan’s frock was of bright forget-me-not blue. Airs. E. Sutherland’s frock was of silver and ivory crepe de chine. Airs. F. C. Robinson's gown was of rose and silver brocaded metal cloth. Airs. H. Buchanan’s smart gown was of black sequined georgette. Airs. C. Callinan chose a black crepe de soie gown, with oriental relief. Airs. Temple, Sydney, chose a pretty flowered ninon frock of uneven length. Airs. Albert Neville wore a gown of black satin, with diamente relief. Airs. Raynor was in peacock blue and orchid tinted georgette. Airs. Bentley was in a ciel blue taffeta gown. Aliss Alartinengo wore a pretty frock of foxglove pink georgette. Aliss AI. Newman’s gown was of lido blue chiffon velvet. Aliss Olga Alartinengo chose chartreuse green georgette. GALAXY OF MODES Miss B. Whittaker was in a taffeta and lace frock of absinthe green. Aliss Gwentli MacNaughton’s frock of silver lame had a long frilled skirt of parchment tinted georgette. Aliss Bentley’s frock was of flowered ring velvet. Miss Riley chose a bouffant taffeta gown of duchess blue. Aliss Sherham chose shrimp pink taffeta. Aliss A. Rodger’s beaded frock was of cameo pink georgette. Aliss 11. Sutherland chose a pretty frock of phlox pink chiffon. Aliss Allan wore lacquer red ring Aliss Phyllis Hill was in ciel blue tuffeta. Miss Leatherbarrow chose a lace and georgette frock. Aliss H. Hayward was in rose pink taffeta and silver lace. Aliss Colman’s gown was of amethyst ring velvet. Miss Scott was in pompadour pink crepe de soie. Aliss O. Norman had on a smart frock of lime green taffeta. Aliss Gibson wore palest primrose georgette. Aliss Noble’s gown was of black taffeta, with uneven hemline. Aliss M. Turner chose a gros grain taffeta gown of rose and gold. Miss D. Rainger chose ecru lace woven over marigold satin beaute. Miss V. Anderson's gown was of forest green taffeta. SOCIAL EVENING The Electric Construction Company held an enjoyable social evening on Saturday at Lewis Eady’s Hall. The committee had organised the gathering very successfully, and the spirited dance music provided by the Regal Five was much appreciated by the prettily-frocked guests and their partners.
