Jolly Evening at Dixieland

Entrancing selections from “The Broadway Melody,” noticeably “The Wedding of the Painted Doll,'* and “You Were Made For Ale,” captivated the dancers at Dixieland Cabaret on Saturday evening, when Air. Hafry Neilson and his orchestra were in their gayest mood. Specialty acts by the “Dixieland Boys,” who are experts in acrobatics and lively patter, gave variety to the evening, and many other novelties were introduced for the diversion of the many guests. Aliss Ailsa Lewis wore a chic gown of black georgette embroidered with silver beads and a narrow silver girdle. Aliss W. Tancred was in an amethyst lace frock worn over satin beaute. Aliss Heather Longuet had chosen a beaded georgette frock of nile green, with silver sash. Aliss Bessie Pagni’s gown was of cedar rose and ivory flowered ring velvet. Aliss Anita Pagni wore a pretty georgette frock of palest primrose and marigold georgette. VARIETY OF MODES Aliss Olga Sturt was in an attractive frock of powder blue crepe faille, with shoulder spray. Aliss Aliri Bragato’s phlox pink chiffon frock was embroidered with opalescent sequins. Aliss Edna Gill’s very charming frock of daffodil yellow chiffon and tulle was appliqued with rose and green french flowers. Aliss De Jorix had chosen a smart gown of black satin faille and chantilly lace. Miss J. Saunders had on cedar rose chiffon with pipings of gold. Aliss Cook’s frock was of ivory satin and silk net with frilled ankle-length skirt. Aliss Betty Sharman had chosen a metal lace gown embossed in floral design.
