FEILDING STOCK SALE
Press Association FEILDING, Friday. There was an exceptionally heavy yarding of dairy stock at the Feilding sale today. Good heifers and cows sold at high prices, but inferior lines were not sought. Fat cattle brought good prices and store ' cattle were in good demand. Fat sheep sold at late rates, and there was a good demand for store sheep. Prices were:—Sheep: Fat lambs, blackface. 20s to 2Ss 4d; fat ewes, 21s 6d to 2Ss Cd: fat wethers. 34s 4d to 395; four and five-year store ewes, running with Southdown rams. 225; four-year ewes, running with Romney rams, 30s lOd; empty aged ewes. 16s; ewe hoggets, 25s 2d to 30s Pd; wether hoggets, 20s id to 27s Id. Dairy cattle: Springing heifers, good, £lO 5s to £l4 15s; inferior, £5 to £S 10s; good springing cows, to £l2; inferior, £7. Store cattle: Steers, £2 12s 6d; forward •rows, to £5 7s: Jersey-Polled Angus cross vows. £3 12s 6d to £5 2s 6d; Jersey cows, £4 12s 6d; Jersey heifers, £5 2s 6d; black • ■ows, £4 5s to £4 10s: yearling bulls, 22s 6d; yearling heifers, £3 4s to £4 Is 6d. Shorthorn cows, £4 255. Fat cattle: Bullocks, £l2; Hereford steers, £7 7s 6d; heifers, .£$ 2s 6d to £ll 10s; cows, £5 10s to £ S 10s.
