JUDGE BURNSIDE DEAD

PERTH, Friday. The death has occurred of Mr. Justice Burnside, who had been a memof the Supreme Court Bench of 'western Australia since 1920. His a Se was 67. Mr. Justice Robert Bruce Burnside ''as born at Nassau, Bahamas, in 1562. Mis father was Sir Bruco Lockhart “urnside. Chief Justice of Ceylon. He "as called to the Bar at Lincoln’s Inn >D 1884, and to the Western Australian Bar in the same year. He "as gentleman usher of the Black Rod m IS9O, and in 1894 was appointed Crown Solicitor. He was from 1902 to 1924 president of the Court of Arbitration.
