REDUCED FARES
CUT ON SUBURBAN LINES OPERATE FROM TOMORROW From tomorrow a new schedule of fares will come into operation on the suburban lines between Auckland and Newmarket and including Paerata and Tuakau. It is an elaboration of the suburban service and will most probably bring more business to the railways in the districts south of the city. Some indication of the reduction in fares can be gained by the fact that second class return fare from Auckland to Pukekohe has been reduced by 2s Id. Following is the new schedule of fares which will operate from tomorrow:
To or from:— 1st 2nd 1st 2nd single single return return Paerata 4 6 2 9 6 9 4 6 Pukekolie 4 9 3 0 7 3 4 9 Buckland 5 0 3 3 7 6 5 0 Tuakau 5 6 3 6 8 3 5 6 These fares are all to or from Auckland or Newmarket.
