“THE CINGALEE"
PRODUCED AT DARGAVILLE (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, Friday. ‘“The Cingalee” was presented by the Dargaville Musical Society at the Royal Theatre last evening to an exceptionally large audience. The characters adapted themselves well to their respective parts, and the play, as a whole, was a pronounced success. Those taking part were as follow: Mr. A. Christie (Boobhamba Cheddier Bhoy); Mrs. W. CobbalrJ (Nanoya). Mrs. F. Walters (Peggy Sabine), Miss J. Cole (Lady Patricia Vereker). Mrs. G. Ivirton, Misses T. Smith, Graham and B. Way (Tea Girls), Mr. E. Nicholls (Hon. Harry Vereker), Mr. J. Cranston (Charbuddy Ram), Mr. C Way (Sir Peter Loftus), Mr. H. Ratcliffe (Bobby Warren), Messrs. H. Gaukrodger, R. Moorhead and Cliff Way (English pupils). Mr. F. Clendon Gould (Myangah). Mrs. N. McDonald (Angry Loftus), Misses Z. Phelan, L. Wansbone, E. Dunn. J. MacKenzie, K. Sommerville and S. Vause (Ballet Girls), Mesdames Shortt and S. Barker Governesses). Air. G. M. Kirton conducted the orchestra.
