J-JOWEVER imposing a structure may appear at the time of building, it is of little value if its permanence is not assured. With its foundations set in the shifting sand, no building, however attractive, can survive. Sooner or later it will cant over and collapse. From earliest childhood, we are warned of the folly of building “ castles in the air ” and advised that time is more profitably spent in laying the foundations of a structure with the building of which we can proceed steadily. The foundation of New Zealand’s successful future must be the fostering of home industry. Every man in the country can do his bit to ensure the permanent well-being of the Dominion by adhering in practice, as well as in theory, to the slogan of “ Buy N.Z.Made.” Once the solid foundations of New Zealand’s industries are well and truly laid, every man who has helped in this highly important and remunerative work will have the additional satisfaction of knowing that he is a joint architect in the fashioning of the national structure with which we hope to attain lasting prosperity. m 5a m m Sfti A- ' -A, ■am safe 1 f; The Shifting Sands are Symbolic of the Weakness of Unnecessary Importation.
