MEMBERSHIP OF POULTRY SOCIETIES AND CLUBS
During the past few months it has been satisfactory to hear of the large increase in the membership of poultry societies and clubs. The stronger these are the better for the industry as a whole. Not only is it a pleasing sign of the increasing interest of those engaged in the work, but as an indication that there is a better spirit abroad. One has often been discouraged to hear the question when an invitation was given to join a society: “What shall I get out of it?” A society or club must he of service, but that should be in the wider field, not merely personal, and all ought to realise that they should make a contribution toward extension. The stronger each society is the more will it be able to co-operate iu the progress of all.
