SILVERDALE INSTITUTE
FIRST BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED The first birthday celebration of the Silverdale Women’s Institute was held recently, when the church room decorated for the occasion, and filled by a large attendance of members and their friends. Various games were played, and a. competition arranged by Airs. Alark Vi pond attracted much attention, and was thoroughly enjoyed. This was won by Airs. Bridson and Ariss Smith. A feature of the afternon tea was a two-tier birthday cake, with one candle, which was given by Airs. Bridson, vice-presidbnt. During the gathering three new members were enrolled.
