MUNICIPAL BAND CONCERT

The ninth concert of the present season will be given by the Municipal Band in the Town Hall on Saturday evening next. A very attractive programme will be presented, including band, solo, and vocal items. The band will play fo.r the first time Henry Litloff’s intensely dramatic overture, “Maximilian Robespierre,” also selections, “Tannhauser” and “Merrie England”; “Rippling Streams,” a flute and piccolo solo by Mr. Hal C. McLennan; “A Dervish Chorus,” with cornet obligato by Mr. Fred Bowes; and lighter numbers. Vocal items are to be sung by Miss Ida Holmes, soprano, and Mr. Fred Baker, baritone, with Miss Thelma Gordon at the piano. Booking arrangements are advertised.
