Paramount has bought Galsworthy's grreat play, ‘‘Escape,” for the- making of an all-talking picture. Tlie corapar * announces that the famous English playwright and novelist will prepare the screen dialogue. Basil Deen. a noted British producer, will direct. The chief role will be plaj*c-rl by the wellknown English actor, dive Brook. .Denis King, one of the most roman - tic figures of the London and New York stage, has been signed by Paramount to play the lead in an elaborate singing and talking version of * The Vagabond King,” in which he Rr.-t sang his way. to fame.
