SUSPECT REMANDED Harold James Hepry Smith, a clerk, aged 38, was remanded at tile Police Court this morning until Thursday on two charges of stealing postal packets containing money. The first charge was of stealiug while he was a postal officer, a packet containing £4 and a postal note for ss, the property of the PostmasterGeneral, on April IS. The second count was in respect of a packet containing £2 10s alleged to have been taken on August 8. On the application of Mr. Hall Skelton, bail was allowed in one surety of £IOO.
