BOY FRACTURES SKULL
KNOCKED OFF CYCLE BY CAR About 5.30 p.m. yesterday a boy, Jack Pickhard, was knocked from his bicycle by a motor-car which crashed into him on the Great South Road, Papakura, opposite the Linton Private Hospital. The skull was fractured and both knee-caps were badly bruised. Heavy rain was falling and visibility was bad. The boy’s home is opposite the hospital and he was turning in to his gate at the time of the accident. The boy was taken to the hospital. He is reported to be progressing favourably.
