BIRKENHEAD CARNIVAL
FUNDS FOR FIRE BRIGADE A scheme to raise funds for a fire brigade through the medium of a Queen Carnival was advanced another stage last evening, when a big meeting of the several organisations in the district was held in the council chambers, Birkenhead. Mr. L. R. L. Moller, DeputyMayor, presided. It is hoped there will be five queens in the field representing sports, friendly societies, Birkdale, the Labour Party and the Business Association. The delegates are to discuss the proposal with the*r respective organisations.
