AUCKLAND CHORAL SOCIETY “JUDAS MACCABAEUS”

Rehearsals are now well forward by the Auckland Choral Society for its presentation of Handel’s sublime oratorio ,“Judas Maccabaeus.” This will be. presented in the Town Hall on Thursday, August 15, with full orchestra and chorus, under the baton of Mr. Colin Muston. The soloists will be Madame Cora Melvin, soprano; Miss Lillian Woods, mezzo-soprano; Miss Madge Clague, contralto; M.r. Arthur Ripley, tenor; and Mr. Len Barnes, baritone. The box plans open to subscribers on Monday next, and to the general public on the following day.
