N.S.W. COAL DISPUTE
IMMEDIATE STEPS URGED FOR SETTLEMENT ' ENGINE-DRIVERS’ DECISION Reed. 9.35 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The State Council of the Federated Engine-drivers and Firemen again agreed that immediate steps should be taken to end the coal dispute. Members took the stand that negotiations should be opened with the colliery owners, and that the unions should be prepared to compromise.
