DORIS MAGEE MARRIED
CITY CHAMPION SWIMMER Established by her per t'or mam-os lasi season as one of the best women sprint swimmers of New : Doris Magee, of the Parnell Club, has been married to Air. Harold Braiden, of Sydney. Aliss Magee was the only swimmer in Australia, or New Zeal, nd to bi the Auckland champion. Ena Stockley. over 100 3 rds she won the centre's championship in 1925. Aliss Maged's last appearance in city competitions was in the Auckland championships in the past season, when she was second to Aliss Stockley.
As far back as 1923 Aliss Alagce won a. New Zealand championship—at Timaru. in the junior girls’ 100 yards. She was next prominent in 1927 by winning the intermediate girls’ 100 yards in the Auckland championships in New Zealand record time of 68 4-5 sec. She followed this success by winning the national race. Apart from championship wins. Aliss Alagee lias been a valuable handicap swimmer for Parnell Club.
