TOTALISATOR BURNT

FIRE AT DARGAVILLE FURNITURE DESTROYED (From Our Own Correspondent) DARGAVILLE, Sunday. About two o’clock this morning the Dargaville Racing Club’s totalisator building and contents at Awakino Point Racecourse, were completely destroyed by fire. The alarm was given in Dargaville and the fire brigade turned out but was unable to make a save. The contents comprised a totalisa-tor-machine and some household furniture and goods, the latter being the property of Mr. A. J. Finch, who recently sold his house in Dargaville and was temporarily storing his possessions. The building and plant was insured for £450. The origin of the fire is not known.
