TITIRANGI LOAN POLL
ROAD IMPROVEMENTS Titirangi ratepayers on Saturdc; evening strongly supported the proposal of the Waitemata County Cou:cil to raise a loan of £13.000 to corcrete Tiritangi Hoad and to met subsidiary roads. Mr. J. Grierson, president of th Titirangi Ratepayers’ Assodatk: praised workers who had assisted bring the proposals to a satisfactor conclusion. He regarded the achen to spend £6,500 on Titirangi Road a: an equal sum on the lesser ones fair. He believed that the spec loan rate. 1 l-8d in the pound, wou.. not be called up in full, as the merlin the prosperity of the locality wou attract new ratepayers. A ratepayers’ committee is to fun the plans and a circular letter will sent to all ratepayers. Mr. W. A. Bishop, county me.nl for the riding, said that the com engineer would explain to ratepsythe details of the loan at a meeting August 17.
