SUNDAY NIGHT CONCERT

PROGRAMME AT ST. JAMES A programme of exceptional merit was presented at St. James Theatre by the Auckland Musicians’ Union last evening before a large audience. Selections by the Auckland Artillery Band, which were well received, included Tsehaikowsky’s famous “1812” overture and the overture to “Oberon.” There were also cornet and flute solos. Vocalists included Miss Mina Caldow and Mr. Len Barnes. Mr. Colin Muston was the conductor and Misses Elvi Skinner and Queenie Poore were the accompanists. A good sum was raised toward the Musicians’ Benevolent Funn.
