GOVERNOR-GENERAL’S TERM “A SPLENDID EXAMPLE” Press Association NELSON, Friday. The Nelson Diocesan Synod has car- : ried a resolution expressing to the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, whose term of office expires next January, and to the Lady Alice Fergusson, its sincere appreciation of the splendid example maintained by them during their stay in New Zealand. In supporting the motion the president said he was not likely to forget the remarkable address his Excellency had delivered upon the occasion of the laying of the foundation-stone of the Nelson Cathedral. It was one of the finest utterances he had ever heard from a man in the Governor-General’s position
