ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGE A plea of not guilty was entered at the Supreme Court this afternoon by Robert Francis Maddox, aged 27. who was charged with the attempted murder of Jerko Didovtch. a Dalmatian. The case was a sequel to a sensational affair at Northcote on June 28. Mr. V. R. Meredith prosecuted for the Crown and Mr. J. J. Sullivan represented accused. (Proceeding) IGNORED COURT’S ORDER HAMILTON. Today. A young man. James Torrance Cleary, who a fortnight ago was fined £lO and had his licence suspended for six months for reckless driving, was today fined a further £5 and his licence suspended until May 30 next for driving without a licence.
