CITY MISSION’S WORK
ADDRESS AT ALBANY An address on the activities of the Auckland City Mission was given at Albany to a crowded audience on Wednesday evening by the Rev. Jasper Calder. With the missioner on his visit were Dr. Barraclough, Mr. Clark, the organising secretary, and Nurse Oliver. Mr. Calder’s lecture was illustrated on a screen, and he made an appeal for support at the mission’s bazaar. Dr. Barraclough and Mr. Clark spoke and the party was entertained by the Albany branch of the Women’s InstitLite. MISSION ENTERTAINMENTS On the past two evenings, Mr. A. Hamblin, hospital visitor of The Methodist Central Mission, has given entertainments at the Auckland Hospital. Mr. Neville Carlsen’s concert party gave several items.
