MAJESTIC

“THE LILY OF KILLARNEY” The current programme at the Majestic Theatre, which is headed by the brilliant modern drama, “Three Passions," starring Alice Terry, Shayle Gardner and Ivan Petrovitch, will be presented for the last time this evening. This programme also includes a number of interesting shorter films and excellent music by the orchestra. A young Irish lad who is expected to marry a rich heiress to save the family from ruin, but "who instead weds a pretty young colleen from the peasantry, is vividly portrayed by the young English actor, Cecil Landeau. in the screen version of Dion Boucicault’s famous stage play, “Colleen Bawn,” which is being released at the Majestic Theatre tomorrow by Cinema Art Films, under the title of “The Lily of Killarney."

It is a typical story of Irish country life, and was actually filmed on the Lakes of Killarney by British International Pictures. It tells of the love and devotion of old retainers, of how one would even go to the extent of murder for the affection he bore his master.

It also tells how tragedy, stark and grim, can enter the lives of the most harmless creatures, but of all it shows how love always wins out. The cast also includes several oung British players, among whom are Pamela Parr, Gillian Dean, Denis Wyndham and Barbara Gott. One of the best pictures of the season is “The Veiled 'Woman.” a Fox Films production, which will be the second him tomorrow. It is a thrillingly dramatic story with the scenes laid in Paris, and it is played by a notable cast headed by Lia Tom and Paul Vincenti, two new names on the Fox roster. Miss Tora, a native of -Brazil, is a talented and finished actress, while Mr. Vincenti has had the advantage of careful training in the theatre of Hungary. The picture was directed by Emmett Flynn, who numbers among his screen successes “A Connecticut Yankee" and “Monte Cristo." He is responsible for several innovations in this production, among them some remarkable shots. In the cast supporting Miss Tora and Mr. Vincenti are such well-known players as Maude George, Walter McGrail, Ivan Lebedeff, Josef Swickard, Kenneth Thomson and Andre Cheron. Mr. Flynn, who recently spent a year or more in Paris, is especially adapted to direct a picture of this type. Other items will be an Eve’s Review and a Majestic Magazine, and new music by Mr. Whiteford Waugh's Orchestra.

"What is reputed to be a new method of telling a trial story is used in
