HIPPODROME’S BIG FUT URE The popular Hippodrome Tfieatre in Queen Street will be the nex|. theatre to instal talkie equipment. is at present being installed, a.nd the theatre is being redecorated. In nine days’ time it will present its i irst programme. The name Hippodrome will be changed to The Roxy. The first talking programnj e will be headed by a sensational muisder mystery film entitled "The Don .©van Affair.” To be able to sit in at a "police grilling” is the ambition, of many people. To hear the hand oif the law cross-examine and ply the snjspect with question after question WGlentlessly, hour uopn hour, f.nd then ’to see him turned over to another ofßd al for further questioning, is to the a* erage man and woman a thrilling expea ience. This opportunity, which is even denied to newspapermen at the grenutoie grillings, is open to the audience wUem they see and hear "The Donovan Afffejir.” Columbia’s 100 per cent, dialogue film. A clear picture is seen of just exactly what happens in an avctual quizzing following a murder.
