Dargavllle, presiding over a good attendance. The annual report and balance sheet showed that, thanks to the successful meeting held at Avondale, the club had been placed In a very satisfactory financial position. A good deal of permanent improvements had been carried out at the Awakino course and would be appreciated by owners when the next race meeting was held In February, 1930. The question of erection of loose-boxes at the course was a pressing one. and would have to be seriously considered by the stewards, especially in view of the fact that a groat deal of the accommodation formerly used by visiting trainers and owners was not now available. The amount of assets over liabilities was £ 1,95 c 7« od. The balance sheet and report were adopted. It was unanimously resolved to recommend to the stewards that the old and new guarantors, eight in number, be elected life-honorary members of the club in recognition of their valuable services. It was also resolved that the annual meeting should be held in August, instead of July as at present. The election of officers resulted: Patron, the Rt. Hon. -3. G. Coates: president, Mr. F. J. Dargaville; vicepresidents, Messrs. A. J. Finch, B. Coleman and \V. Whitmore; stewards Messrs. A. J. Finch, W. Whitmore t’ Wells and F. O. Peat (re-elected).
