RAINFALL EXCEEDS AVERAGE

WEATHER IN JULY The month of July was unsettled and wet, and the rainfall, according to the Government Meteorologist’s report, was 1.31 inches over the average. Although the winds were relatively light, westerly weather prevailed throughout. Thunder was heard on four days and hail fell on two days. With the exception of the first few days of the month. when frosts were recorded, temperatures were somewhat milder than usual.

Although the rainfall was over the average, the conditions during the month conformed with those usually experienced in July.
