QUIET FOR 24 HOURS
NO FIRES AT CHRISTCHURCH Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Today. No suspicious fires have been reported in Christchurch for 24 hours. The police and fire brigade are taking the fullest precautions. An attempted burglary at a Riccarton house last evening was frustrated by the return of the occupants from the city. Subsequently the footprints of two men were found on a path.
