Sir George Fowlds left for the South last evening on the Limited. Sir Truby King, who arrived by the Aorangi on Monday, left last evening for Wellington. Mr. G. W. Arnold arrived in Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. M!r. J. M. Smeeton will bo a passenger for England on the lonic on Saturday. • The Hon. E. \V. Alison, M.L.C., and r \V. J. -lordan, M.P., travelled to Wellington by the Limited last night. Mr. and Mrs. G. Pottinger, who have been visiting Tahiti, returned yesterday. They are staying at the Car gen. The Hon. P. A. de la Perrelle, Minister of Internal Affairs, will return to Wellington by train this evening. Judge McCormick, of the Native T*nd Court, arrived from Wellington this morning by the Limited. The Rev. "Dr. IT. Ranston and Mrs. Ranston will sail for England by the lonic, leaving Wellington on Saturday. Mr. M. Rocke O’Shea, registrar of the Auckland University College, left by the Limited last evening for Wellington. Mr. McHardy Forman, Wellington managing director of General Motors Limited, has returned from a visit to New York. Hr. A. J. Friedlander left for Vancouver on the Aorangi yesterday, accompanied by Mrs. Friedlander and Mrs. H. Friedlander, of Auckland. Sir James Gunson, who has been visiting California, returned to Auckland this morning by the Limited from Wellington. Ho returned to New Zealand on tho Maunganui. The Rev. Dr. H. D. A. Major, who has been visiting New Zealand, sailed by the Aorangi yesterday on his way back to England. Mrs. Major and Mr. M. W. Major accompanied him. At a meeting of the Auckland Institute and Museum held last evening. Mr. A. G. Lunn was elected to the trust board of the institute to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mr. J* H. Upton.
