The appointment was made after j consultation with the authorities or the medical school. The existing ; laboratory at Dunedin will be made : available for Dr. Begg's work. Dr. Begg is a graduate of the Ne»Zealand University, and for some years past has devoted himself to cancer research in London, where he has already gained a high reputation. Arrangements have been mada with the London authorities for the transfer of his work to New Zealand for a period of at least three years.
