MR. A. A. WALLACE Mr. Andrew Anderson Wallace, who died at Hamilton yesterday at. the age of 65, came to New' Zealand, front Glasgow with his parents when three years old. The family settled at Kgaruawahia and was well known ip the district, Mr. Wallace is survived by his wife and four sons. MR. D. F, McKsAY Mr* Daniel Forbes McKay, whose death occurred recently at Springfield, had been, a license© of the Springfield Hotel, Canterbury, for the past three years. He was formerly prominently associated with the Otago Athletic anil Cycling Union. He was a past-presi-dent of the New Zealand Athletic Union, and at the time of his death was patron of that body.—P.A. MRS. M. ANDERSON The death occurred at her residence, Redhill, yesterday, of Mrs. Maria Anderson, at the ago of 80 years. Mrs. Anderson was a pioneer of the Northern Wairoa district, having resided there for 40 years. She is survived by three sons and four daughters. Messrs. Mark and Albert (of Te Kopuru), William Sandford (Tokomaru Bay), and Mesdames Kerr (Tokomaru Bay), K. Davidson (Rotorua). J. Hall (Auckland), Mahon (Auckland), and Miss Jean Sandford (Opotiki). MR.. D. G. McKIBBIN After having attended both morning and evening services at the Mount Albert Presbyterian Church, Mr. David George McKibbin died suddenly at his home in Belmont Road, Mount Albert, on Sunday evening. After living for some years in "Wellington and Hawke’s Bay, Mr. McKibbin retired from business, and during the past five years had lived at Mount Albert. He was an office-bearer in the local Presbyterian Churcli, and ho was an enthusiastic member of the Mount Albert Bowling Club. Mr. McKibbin is survived by hir wife, one son, Mr. Elliot McKibbin, * the King Country, and one daughU MR. J. R. BLAIR One of the oldest, settlers In the Warkworth district, Mr. James R. Blair, has died at tho age of 83. Born in Dumbarton, Scotland. Mr. Blair arrived in New Zealand in 1865, landing at Auckland. Soon afterward he took up land on the Great Barrier Island, where he farmed for 30 years. He then settled at Dome Valley, near Warkworth. where he lived until his death. He was Government valuer for the Rodney County, and was a member of the Rodney County Council. He founded the Rodney Chamber of Commerce, of which he was secretary for many years. Mrs. Blair died 26 years ago. Mr. Blair is survived by one son and 1 three daughters. MR. R. P. McKAY The death of Mr. Roderick Philip Nit Kay will be keenly felt in the Waipt district, to which Mr. McKay had given valuable public service. For some years Mr. McKay was an active member of the Waipu Agricultural and Pastoral Society, for three years he was a member of the committee and a steward for four years. Last year he was chief steward in the horse section. Church work also interested Mr. McKay, who had been a member of the management committee of the Waipu Presbytejtan Church for the past four years, and in addition had been appointed secretary last year. He was secretary of the Loyal Waipu Lodge, No. 7596. MR. JAMES DIGNAN The death occurred at Morrinsville on Monday night of Mr. James Dignan, second son of the late Hon. Patrick Dignan, at the age of 79 years. Tire late Mr. James Dignan was born in Auckland in 1850. His father was a member of the Auckland Provincial Council, a member of the Legislative Council, and an ex-Mayor of Auckland. His son James was educated at a private school in Auckland and was later engaged in managing properties owned by his father. He subsequently owned and conducted well-known livery stable In Auckland, and was then private secretary to Sir Maurice O’Rorke, Speakc*r of the House of Representatives during th<Seddon regime. Thirty years ago Mr. Dignan took up land near Tahunaaml farmed this for a number of year*, and then lived % retired life in Morrinsville.

Mr. Dignan was one of a family of 13 boys, of whom only two are now alive. These are Mr. F. J. Dignan, retired bank manager, of Auckland, and Mr. M. C. Dignan. also of Auckland. One brother, Mr. Peter Dignan. solicitor, was at one time Mayor of Auckland for two terms. The funeral is to be held today at Morrinsville.
