CROWD ENJOYS A “SING”
CHARITY WORK AT TOWN HALL The song leader at this afternoon’s community singing in the Town Hall was “Uncle Tom,” from IYA. A big crowd turned out to meet him, to hear the soloist, Mr. Norman Tucker, to hear Miss Arta play the new Vibraphone, and to join in the singing. Cr. H. P. Burton presided and £l6 6s 8d was collected, a considerable increase over last week. Before the singing began a recital was given on the new Majestic gramophone.
