GAOL FOR FORGER In the Supreme Court at Wellington. Charles Augustus Comerford. who pleaded guilty to six charges of theft and forgery while employed as a radiographer at Wellington Hospital, was today sentenced to 1S months’ imprisonment on each count, the terms to be concurrent. His Honour said it was clear that accused was in a posi tion of trust, and was in the habit of helping himself. GUILTY OF FORGERY After a retirement of about two hours the jury returned a verdict of guilty with a recommendation to mercy in the forgery charges against George Joseph Silver. Sentence was deferred till Saturday morning. FAINTED IN BOX A girl of 16 collapsed in the witness box at the Supreme Court this afternoon. She was the principal witness rr a case in which Alfred Richard Dickman, aged 47. was facing two serious charges. The case was held Up for half an hour until the girl recovered. f
