SYDNEY HOUSEWIVES APPEAL TO MR. BRUCE SYDNEY, Monday. The secretary of the Housewives’ Association says it is intended to wait upon the Prime Minister, Mr. Stanley Bruce, and to demand the lifting of the embargo on New Zealand potatoes. The Minister of Markets, Mr. Thomas Paterson, also has been asked to receive a deputation on the subject. The association has instituted a boycott against Tasmanian potatoes, owing to the famine prices being charged. CHICAGO WHEAT MARKET (Australian and X.Z.
