ITALIAN LINER’S PERIL
ENGINES FAIL OFF SYDNEY HEADS IN GRIP OF HEAVY SEAS Reed. 9.30 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. When just off Sydney Heads last night, the Australian-Italian liner Caprera, 8,245 tons, developed engine trouble. The vessel was in the grip of heavy seas, and the anchors were hurriedly dropped. For four hours a pilot steamer and two tugs stood by, bat eventually repairs were effected and the vessel entered the heads.
