In a time-limit match, Clark McConachy (New Zealand billiard champion) has scored I.SS9 (breaks of 764, 532, 183 and IS2), while Willie Smith (England) has scored. 1,678 (breaks of 182, 365, and 433). The New Zealander was in splendid form on the first day, which is regarded as very satisfactory, as he is a notoriously bad starter.
