LINE-OUT OBSTRUCTION
ALL BLACK MANAGER ON AUSTRALIAN WAYS “A SPECIALISED BUSINESS”
Reed. 11.30 a.m. SYDNEY, Today. The All Blacks’ manager, Mr. J. McLeod, outlining his impression of the tour at a council meeting of the New South Wales Rugby Union, said Australian Rugby had improved, and
the present New Zealand team was not one whit inferior to past Dominion combinations. The manager added that the game could not be played more cleanly in Australia; but he struck a disconcerting note when he expressed the opinion that obstruction in various positions, such as the line-outs, was a specialised business here. He assured the delegates that if the system were tolerated, the Australians would receive harsh treatment from New Zealand referees.
