BOWLING
NORTH AUCKLAND CENTRE (From, Our Oion Correspondent) WHANGAREI, Monday. At the annual meeting of the North Auckland Bowling Centre, all clubs were represented with the exception of Waipu, Kawakawa and Uokianga, which were unable to send delegates. The election of officers resulted: President, Mr. T. H. Wilson; vicepresident and treasurer, Mr. W. C. Ooote; secretary, Mr. T. H. Steadman; auditor, Mr. W. Sword; executive committee, M easts. C. V. Stringer, R. Scott, J. Donaldson. W. J. Byrne and P. Judd: general committee, the executive, with the addition Of Messrs. J. Wood and T. Jones. The action of the secretary in extending an invitation to the Canadian bowlers who will be touring the Dominion next year to visit Whangarei \va*» approved. It was also decided to recommend the executive to arrange a junior cliainp : on of champions contest in conjunction with the green championships ir M arch. It was further decided to recommend the institution of a system of pennant games for Northern clubs. CLEVEDON CLUB At the annual meefing of the Clevedon Bowling Club the following officers were elected:—President. Mr. W. j. iTycic, vice-presidents, Messrs. H. S. Mur re, H. J. Bull, secretary.
