Man’s Sudden Death David Bertram Adair, aged 44. orchardist, died suddenly this morning a* Gisborne, after a brief illness. "An inquest will be held. Bus Dives Over Bank A fully-loaded Peninsula Motor Service bus developed steering-gear trouble on the narrow Lower Harbour Road, near Dunedin this mor nine. swerving over a bank into the harbour. It landed upright in shallow water, gradually turning over. The passengers, none of whom were seriously Injured, were able to get out through the door.—P.A. Transport Board Tenders Of 10 tenders received by the Transport Board for wheels, that of W. M. Cooke and Co. (X.Z.) Proprietarv. Ltd., for £I,4SS, was accepted this morning. For axles, Cory-Wright and Salmons price of £640 for a special brand was accepted from offers by firms. The lowest, tender was for £516. Messrs. Cocke’s price cf £2»x for springs was also successful out o*' eight tenders. The tender of Kidd Garrett. Ltd., c: £319 for steel poles was accepted. Several other tenders, all by Auckland firms for other gear, were accepted.
