Considerable anxiety still exists in Manchuria, following the arrival of the Chinese Consul and his staff and their families, who report ill-treat-ment of the Chinese community at Vladivostok, and the refusal of the Soviet authorities to supply food. It is stated that the Soviet troops are drilling night and das'. Motors and other vehicles are being commandeered.

The police frustrated an attempt at a hostile demonstration at the Chinese Legation in London. After ail antiwar meeting at Trafalgar Square, Communists demonstrated outside the legation, but mounted police moved them on. A scrimmage occurred, hut there were no incidents of note.
