STEAM HEATED
FRANKTON-ROTORUA TRAIN The Railway Department has decided to install steam-heating apparatus in the Frankton Junetion-Roto-rua train. This train leaves Frankton Junction at 7.25 a.m. every day for Rotorua. leaving there at 4.55 p.m. on the return journey. During the cold weather there have been numerous complaints about the non-heating of the train. All mechanical foot-warmers have been dispensed with in the trains in the North, though some are still provided for trains in the Ohakune district and in the South.
