GAS STOVE EXPLODES

GIRL RECEIVES BURNS When the gas exploded while she was lighting the stove. Miss Olive Lee, aged 19, received burns to her face and hands and had to be taken to hospital by the St. John Ambulance. The accident occurred at Miss Lee's home at 82 Brown Street, Ponsonby, on Saturday afternoon, and was caused by an escape of gas. She treated in the casualty ward and then allowed to go home.
